The Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) manages a broad range of faculty affairs and human resources functions relating to the administration of faculty. OFA serves as a central resource for all faculty related matters, university and school policies, procedures and guidelines, as well as a resource for all faculty at TUSDM.
Functions of OFA include, but is not limited to the following activities:
Supporting the work on the Faculty Appointments, Promotion and Tenure Committee and the Executive Faculty Committee.
Providing guidance to the Department Chairs on day-to-day operations, performance management and resolving complicated personnel matters.
Overseeing the successful execution of academic searches, serves on major search committees, providing consultation and guidance to the committee chairs on policies and procedures, drafting offer letters, managing faculty onboarding process.
Working closely with the Associate Dean for Faculty Development on faculty mentoring and development opportunities.
Facilitating communication and collaboration between Senior Management and the Faculty Advisory Council.
Facilitating faculty leaves, including FMLA, medical leaves, parental leaves, etc.
Facilitating H1B and permanent residency applications.
Serving as a resource for benefits questions, salary equity appeals and contract renewals.
